Experience:

Mr. Gelsing has in-depth experience with patent application preparation and prosecution for both Canada and the United States. He has also provided patent due dilligence advice, assisted with commercial transactions involving patents, and provided representation on patent validity issues, patent infringement matters and patent licensing.

International Patent Practice:

Sander also has a continued and significant exposure to international patent practice on a regular basis, particularly with intellectual property practitioners in foreign countries.

He acts as the Canadian patent agent for foreign patent practitioners with regard to their Canadian patent filings. In turn, Sander relies on his network of foreign associates to file and prosecute his Canadian client's applications in numerous countries around the world.

Qualifications:

Sander holds degrees in law, science and arts and has an extensive technical background in computers and electronics.

Sander is a registered Canadian Patent and Trade-mark Agent, a Registered U.S. patent agent and he's also recognized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to present and prosecute U.S. trademark applications for his clients located in Canada.

Sander Gelsing is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Law Society of British Columbia. He restricts his practice to intellectual property law, patents, trade-marks, copyright and related litigation.
