This week’s Trade-marks Journal had a few amusing trade-mark applications advertised, including:

I’M FEELING LUCKY - 1,177,424, by Google Inc., in relation to their feature of bypassing their search results and going directly to the first web page returned for one’s query;

TABOO… THE NAUGHTY BUT NICE SEX SHOW - 1,237,477, by Canwest Shows Inc., in relation to consumer trade shows focusing on the adult merchandise industry. (Hey Clint, since you’re in Vancouver why don’t you check out their next show in January and let me know if they’re using the trade-mark properly);

THINGAMABOBS - 1,243,257, by FGF Brands Inc. in relation to bakery goods, namely, brownies, cookies, cakes, muffins;

THINGAMAJIGS - 1,243,256, also by FGF Brands Inc. in relation to bakery goods, namely, brownies, cookies, cakes, muffins Not to be confused with the other THINGAMAJIGS;

VERY FUNNY - 1,243,440, by Superstation Inc., in relation to a bunch of television related services; and

MR SMARTY PANTS - 1,256,432, by Standard Radio Inc., in relation to entertainment services, namely a quiz game
